Life is worth living

The Nest

The Life Is Worth Living workplace and primary respite location, ‘The Nest’, provides an inclusive safe home-based hub, where people feel welcomed, have a sense of belonging, and are part of the community.

The Nest offers numerous opportunities to develop long-term, sustainable social and life skills that are transferable to daily living.

Every one of our team members [insert link] is dedicated to making a difference in participants’ lives by being innovative and intentional in everything they do.

We work with the broader care team to implement individual strategies to achieve their goals, thereby closing the loop in communication.

Transition to Supported Independent Living

The Challenge

  • Unable to find experienced support workers with skills to help transition to supported independent living.
  • Respite locations too sterile and not like a real home!
  • Have to share with other participants.
  • Standard program not customised to individual needs.
  • Shared program with larger client /support worker ratios!
  • high staff turnover over the period of transition?
  • Lack of collaboration with the broader care team?
